Live: Protest Set to Begin Almost One Hour After

The protest by the Students’ Union, UI, in solidarity with residents of the Alexander Brown Hall and Ayodele Falase Post-Graduate Hall, who have been without power for 82 Days is set to begin almost an hour after the initially scheduled time.

In an announcement made yesterday, signed by the Union’s President and General Secretary, Aweda Bolaji and Ogundijo Japeth, respectively, it was stated that the protest will commence at the UCH Main Gate by 7 AM. However, as of Press time, this isn’t the case.

The UIMSA Press observed a crowd of protesters from ABH and Falase Hall, en route the Main Gate, with placards, singing songs decrying the 82-day blackout.

More updates to follow soon.
