Breaking: Online Action from Sunday, Physical Protest on Tuesday, Others from ABH Town Hall

Following a Town Hall Meeting at the Alexander Brown Hall Quadrangle this evening, residents have resolved on the following:

  1. Commencement of online protest on Sunday, 9th February, 2025, the 100th Day of the Blackout.
  2. Demand a Congress of the Students’ Union by Monday, 10th February 2025, through the gathering of 250 signatories and the ABH Representatives in the Students’ Representative Council.
  3. A physical demonstration starting on Tuesday, 11th February 2025, with further line of action to be reviewed based on daily progress.

These resolutions were the product of a two-hour-long meeting in which ABH Executives, UI’ SU Leadership, residents of the Hall and concerned students, deliberated on a way forward concerning the blackout, now approaching its 100th Day.

Speaking on the resolution, a concerned Brownite complained about the absence of the ABH Representatives at the SRC from all Town Halls called so far, citing their continued inaction.
