UIMSA Wins 2024 USA Healthweek Quiz

The University of Ibadan Medical Students’ Association emerged winners of the inaugural UCH Students’ Association Dr. Omolara Abosede Smith Inter-Association Quiz, held on Monday, 28th of October, 2024, at the Omolade Alade Hall, School of Nursing, UCH. 

The Quiz competition, was the third in a series of events in the 2024 USA Healthweek, and featured participation from six associations; Association of Physiotherapy Students (APS), School of Health Information Management (SHIM), Unibadan Association of Dental Students (UADS), School of Nursing University College Hospital, Ibadan (SONUCHI), and UIMSA. 

There were two rounds, featuring questions in four categories; General Knowledge, General Science, Maths and Logic, and Knowledge of the Association. At the end of the first round, UIMSA had 58 points, UADS 40, APS 39, SON 20, and SHIM 15. 

Following this was the Fastest Answer round, at the end of which, UIMSA (83 points), SONUCHI (45 points), APS (39 points), emerged 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, respectively. UIMSA was represented by Ijezie Ifeanyi, Emmanuel Utibe, Adewale Joel, and Olaniyi Elijah.
