UIMSAite Crowned Miss Ibadan 2023

On Sunday, 13th of August, 2023, Ogunnaike Rebecca Oreoluwa, a member of the 300-Level class, was crowned Miss Ibadan 2023 at the Grande Finale of the Miss Ibadan Paegants & Awards held at the Tafo Arena Event Centre, Ibadan.

Miss. Oreoluwa emerged as the winner ahead of 26 other finalists in a keen contest; the culmination of a two-month-long selection and training process. Aside from claiming the crown, she also won four categories in the finale: Miss Popularity, Most Creative Performance, Best Interview, and Judges’ Choice.

Speaking with the UIMSA Press on her victory, Miss Oreoluwa said, “My yesterday’s experience at the Miss Ibadan Paegant was a whirlwind of emotions and exhilaration. As I heard my name as the winner, I felt so fulfilled, knowing that all my hard work, dedication, and passion had finally paid off. It’s a moment forever etched in my memory as an extraordinary milestone in my life”.

The Miss Ibadan Paegants & Awards was organized by the Aderonke Omo Dairo Foundation. Notable personalities at the event include the Olori Agba of the Olubadan, His Royal Highness, Olori Olayinka Balogun, Senior Partner & Head Advisory Services, KPMG Nigeria, Engineer Joseph Tegbe, Chief Titilayo Gbadamosi, and Miss Ronke Giwa, among others.
