On Thursday, 1st of May, 2025, the Ibadan Corporate Games Festival, billed as the biggest worker’s day celebration, was held at Lead City International School, Jericho, Ibadan.
The event featured teams from different brands, including Alexander Brown Hall, competing for trophies, medals and cash prizes in sports and games including football, 100m dash, table tennis, chess, scrabble, FIFA 25, monopoly, egg and spoon race and ayo aloopon. The ABH team secured a tally of ten medals including gold in scrabble and chess from Okoye Portian and Okojie Simeon respectively. Other accolades included six silver medals and two bronzes.
The football final between Hawari and Optimum Drinks ended six to one in favour of the former, with IBEDC placing 3rd in the football competition. The Hawari football team were awarded N500,000 for their efforts.
The most successful team overall was the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), with ABH coming in at 2nd overall.
