UIMSA Press Features Editor Emerges 37th UCJ UI VP(Admin)-Elect

Moboluwarin Ogunleye, a fourth-year medical student and Features Editor and Public Relations Officer of the University of Ibadan Medical Students’ Association Press has emerged as the 37th Vice President (Administration)-elect of the Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan.

Moboluwarin did so by tallying a total of 78 votes against 5 void votes to emerge as the 37th VP Admin. 

Other elected Executives include Olanshile Ogunrinu as President, Ayeye Toluwalope as Vice President (Editorial), Faith Adediran as General Secretary, Shodipe Blessing as Financial Secretary, Ojo Victoria Ayoolajesu as Assistant General Secretary, and Siyanbola Victor as Assistant Public Relations Officer. 

Acknowledging his election, Moboluwarin, who also serves as the ABH Press Features Editor, said, “I’m super grateful to members of UCJ UI for their support, especially UIMSA Press members and also ABH Press members for the editorial values instilled in me. I look forward to working with the other executives and executing our plans for the good of the Union“. 

Moboluwarin’s election makes him the second UIMSA Press member to serve the Union in an administrative role, following Covenant Odedele who served as PRO in the 2022/2023 Session.
