LIVE: Protest Against 104-Day Blackout in ABH, Falase Proceeds to East-Main Gate Route

Students of the University of Ibadan have resumed demonstrations against the continued blackout experienced at the Alexander Brown Hall and Ayodele Falase Post-Graduate Hall, a departure from yesterday’s promised restoration. 

As of Press time, students are at the UCH East Gate, from where they will march to the UCH Main Gate, taking the main road. In attendance, alongside the ABH and Falase Residents, are leadership of the UI Students’ Union and concerned UItes. 

In his address prior to the demonstrations commencement, the UI’ SU President, Aweda Bolaji, made the demands known; restoration of power to both Halls of Residence as was promptly promised by the Honourable Minister of Power, Mr Adebayo Adelabu, on Monday, 10th February, 2025.
