BREAKING: School Fee Deadline Postponed, Payment Suspended, Others From 2nd Meeting with Management

Following the second meeting between UI Student leaders and the University Management on the 17th of July, 2024, the University has agreed to postpone the school fee deadline and suspend payment of school fees till further notice, among others.

This was revealed in an address to students at the Tekena Tamuno Building by the SU President, Aweda Bolaji, and erstwhile President, Samson ‘HOST’ Oluwatobiloba.

According to the President, the seven (7) resolutions include:

1. A stop to victimisation of UI Students.

2. Postponement of GES tests and suspension of compulsory textbook purchase.

3. Counter memo to be circulated by the School Management concerning the power supply issue.

4. Students should report sales of handouts by lecturers.

5. That the issue of incessant power outages in ABH would be addressed.

6. Creation of a specific time to attend to students only at Jaja Clinic.

7. I. The Governing Council would meet to review fees.

II. The deadline for school fee payment (August 4th) has been postponed till further notice.

III. Suspension of payment of school fees till further notice.

As of Press time, further engagement between the Student Leaders and concerned UItes is still ongoing.
