UIMSA Elects New President, Announces 2025 Election Results

The Electoral Commission of the University of Ibadan Medical Students’ Association (UIMSA) on July 19, 2025, announced the results of the elections conducted for various executive positions, as well as Senate and Congress offices across different constituencies.
Of the six contested executive positions, five were unopposed, including the presidential seat. Folusho Olu-Adegbola (2k23) emerged as the elected President with a total of 608 votes. John Oludele (2k24) was elected Sports Secretary with 612 votes, while Dauda Babatunde Jamiu (2k24) became General Secretary with 608 votes. Okafor Chibuzor Benjamin (2k25) was elected Treasurer with 558 votes, and Ajoritsedebi Eworitse Jeffrey (2k26) secured the Assistant General Secretary role with 432 votes. Moses Dabor (2k26) emerged as Special Duties Officer (Preclinical) with 393 votes, defeating Ayegboyin Oluwaferanmi Loveth, who garnered 262 votes.
Notably, there were no candidates for the positions of Vice President, Public Relations Officer (PRO), Special Duties Officer (Clinical), and Financial Secretary.
